About Me

My name is Gina, and I live and work in Seattle. I have a small house in Ballard, having somewhat recently moved from a tiny condo (590 square feet) on Capitol Hill that I lived in & loved for about 8 years, so I'm still transitioning into this house thing. I'm really excited about having a basement now because I love crafts -- sewing, knitting, collage art -- and my condo just couldn't hold me anymore.

PLUS, the house was part of a longer term plan, where my wonderful fiance Matt would move in and we and our pet children would become a family. Now, Lucy Lui (my adorable border collie "child") and his two little boys Cheeba & Pharaoh (the kitty cats) share one space. Matt likes the basement too, because he's an artist and designer and needs room to stretch out in too.

I started this blog as a way to begin getting back in touch with my creative side. Since starting it I've re-learned how to knit, how to sew, co-written a trivia book, started a little crafts business, gotten a new job that allows me to have a more balanced life, fallen in love, sold a condo and purchased a house...I use this space as a place to share what's going on with me, stuff that I think is cool or interesting, and sometimes photos of things I make or see or do. I'm planning on sharing more house stuff as time goes on too. Oh, yeah, and did I mention we're getting married? Matt and I will be making things "official" in September!
